Moving Time

We have been here in Hurricane Utah for a mouth. The weather has been great. It is going to get to 100 degrees today. It is time to move north and get out of the desert. Tomorrow we start heading north. We did like this park. It is really nice. Big site with grass and some trees. We are in the newer part of the park.
The Zion National Park is Beautiful. We made 4 or 5 different trips into Zion. The small town at the entrance Springdale has some good restaurants in it.
Peggy and Jeff in Oscar's Café in Springdale.
This shot is on our way to Zion the first trip. Peggy with the camera on the back of the Big Dog.

We made new friends here. John and Chris and Pam And Paul (aka double P). Hope to run into them again some day on the road. So it's time to say goodbye to this park but we will be back. I like that you can walk to the drug store, post office, grocery store and some restaurants.

Good Ride

Peggy and I rode the Big Dog to Zion National Park again. It is just a great ride up there.
On the road to the tunnels we took this picture.
The plaque on the big rock behind me.
We had lunch at Café Oscars and the food was great and they have these big tankers of beer that are killer.
The Big Dog at Oscars.
This is a tee shirt I got in Silverdale.
The brewery is in Park City, Utah.
More wild life here in the park.
Oh I forgot to add this picture the other day when we went to the coffee house with Chris and John.

Great Weather

Not much to talk about, But the great weather we are having here in the West.
We joined Costco and Peggy got a new chair. We got it back to camp and the darn thing had a loose arm on it. So back to the store to get a different one. Got that one back opened it up and this one had some oily stuff on it. So I thought oh boy we are going back to the store again! But thank God Peggy cleaned it off and things are good again.
Here I am trying that new chair out. Someone needs to break it in.

We drove by an Ostrich farm the other day.

I just need to talk about how good that water softener is working. This should stop the faucets from clogging up with this white sandy stuff and protect all the rest of the plumbing. The water has been really hard everywhere we have been. Our skin even feels better, Not so dry, but nice and tan.

Cool and Rainy

It's been a cool and rainy weekend so far. I hope the weather is better where ever you are.
We do have a little wild life around our camp site.
We've got some birds in Peggy's bird feeder.
Then we've got the big spoiled dog. Cliff.
Today we are going to hang out here at camp and watch the Indy 500 and the Coca Cola 600.
Happy Memorial Day to everyone.

Funny Dog

Last night at our late happy hour.  With our neighbors John and Chris. Chris offered a chair to Cliff and he hopped right in. He is the funniest dog we have ever had.
Chris gave us a good tip on a coffee house in town, River Rock Roasting Company. It has a back seating area that looks over a canyon. You can sit right on the edge of the canyon and drink really good coffee.
I had an orange scone Peggy had the bread pudding.
Oh I forgot one other thing you have to have if you are a full timer.
An electric awning. It makes it so easy to roll in and out. Here you need to be fast at it because the wind comes up fast in the Hurricane Valley.

Things You Must to Have

This is a list of thing you must have if you are going to be a full timer.
10. A good Mail service to get you all your mail.
9. A new Garmin to get you there.
8. A Winegard Satellite Dish with Dish Network to get all the Red Wing games.
7. A Verizon Hot Spot so you can get WIFI and get on line to write this blog.
6. TST Tire Pressure Monitor to make sure all your tires are good.
5. Power monitor to make sure the power coming in is right before it comes on.

4. The LCI Auto Leveling System. This is one of the best things ever made for an RV.
3. A Big Ass Truck to pull all your stuff around. Oh and a good dog.
2. A Water Softener. This is one of the best things we have gotten so far. It does a great job to make the water softer.
1. The best thing of all is The Big Green Egg. It is the best thing to cook all your dinners and smoke Beef Brisket, Jerky, Salmon, and any other great food you need to make.

Oh and Honorable Mention goes to Peggy. A good wife that will go and do all kinds of the crazy things with you.

Freedom Ride

I rode the Big Dog in the local Harley dealer's Freedom Ride.
It started out on a road off of exit 2 on I15. Then it went to a small airport where they where having a plane and car show.
This is one of those Polaris Sling Shots. It is the coolest thing on the road.
They had a band at the Harley dealer. You got a hamburger and a pop. The funny thing was they were giving a gun as a prize. A Taurus 38 special.
This is right behind our rv site. This stream gets flash floods when it rains up in the mountains. Two hours later it is back to a normal  little stream.
We changed our minds where we are going to winter next year. At first we where going to stay in Mesa, AZ but we switched to Quartzsite, AZ. A small town instead of a big city like Mesa.
We are going to be at The Scenic Road RV Park.
Here is it's web site thescenicroad.com.

Late Blog

We all got up early and jumped in the truck and drove to Bryce Canyon. It was beautiful.

It started out to be a nice day but by the time we got to the end of the road to Rainbow Point it started to Snow and Sleet. It is at 9115 feet.
This is Natural Bridge.

You can see the snow and sleet on the ground.

Some hoodoos.
This one looks really cool.
We saw some wild life in the park. Here is a pronghorn.
On the way to Bryce you drive thru Red Canyon. Here are a couple of good shots from there.

These two look like they could fall any minute.

We drove thru two small tunnels on the way.
We had a great time even though it rained on us. It was a little cool out. It got down to 39 degrees at the top. It was about 120 miles from Hurricane so it took all day.
