2 Years!

We have been full timing it for 2 years already. We have seen a lot and been all over the western states. We have seen a many of the national parks here in the west. We do not miss the four letter word, that I hate to use . . . Work.
We had a great time in Bullhead City, AZ. We hooked up with Deb and Niels our Canadian friends from Quartzsite, AZ.
Niels got a new toy. Lucky guy.
We went to the little town of Oatman, AZ. Peggy and I drove the Reeper the 10 mile, desert, direct route, while Niels and Deb went the long way in their Slingshot.
Parked at the old Oatman Hotel.
This is what happens when you feed the burros from your car.
Back to our 2 year trip, it has been a great time. We have had good luck with all of our travels. We only had one mishap, when we blew a tire on the RV.
Now we are all set up in our winter home in Yuma at Carefree Village Resort.
We have a huge site with a ton of room. This park has everything, a pool, hot tub, work out room, tennis court, pickle ball courts, putt putt golf and a 4 lane bowling alley. This is the second year it has been open. Over 400 sites.
I found some more throw back pictures, so here we go.

Back to Hot Weather

I am a little behind in the blog writing, Sorry.
We have moved 3 times since last blog update. We stopped in Ignacio, CO for a week at The Sky Ute RV Park. We found one of the top 50 dive bars in the US, The Billy Goat Saloon.
The park was close to Durango, CO. We took a couple trips to Durango, It had a nice old downtown with a lot of stores and good places to eat.
Then we moved to Gallup, NM at USA RV Park. Gallup was a small old town with not a lot going on. We probably stayed there too long. I don't even have any pictures. The park was just OK.
Then we moved to Williams, AZ. Peggy drove to the next park. We only stayed one night at The Grand Canyon Railroad RV Park. It's a brand new park; the only thing that was a little weird was it's RIGHT next to the railroad tracks and some freight trains come through BLOWING their whistle all the way by the park in the middle of the night.
This steam train did stop. You can book a train trip to the Grand Canyon from here. It looked like a nice 63 mile trip into the Canyon.
One of the cool thing about this park, it was close to downtown Williams and it had a lot of places to eat. So we walked to dinner.

Here are some fun dogs we met in the park. They were on their way to the National Dog Championships in Vegas.
This was the baby pup. He was 12 weeks old and a cute little pup.
The Grand Canyon Brewery was right across the street from the park. So we had to give it a try.
So now we are at Bullhead City, AZ at Silverview RV Park. I had to pry Peggy hands off the steering wheel to let me drive to here.
We have a nice big lot. It is only 12 miles to Oatman, AZ. It's a tourist town where they have wild burros that are running wild in town. We've been there before. We'll be taking the Reeper there.

This is the view from the park down to Laughlin, NV. which is right across the river from Bullhead City. You can see the casinos on the river. Really pretty at night.
This is the weather we like this time of year. It's good to be back in Arizona again! We can sleep with the windows open all night.

More Moab, UT

Moab, UT is the best place to ride the Reeper. I bought a good trail book. It was a little costly $23, but it was worth it. Don't want to get lost.
This was one of the hardest trails. We had to go through a stream 4 times.
The good thing was the stream washed the rims and tires off.
This was some ugly tree next to the trail.
Here is a picture of some snow on La Sal Mountains for our snow loving friends. This is about as close as I want to get to snow.
Known as the Three Gossips.
We took the Reeper into Arches National Park. So check off another National park.
It looks like someone cut this one out of the rock.
We had to hike up a little bit to get a good look.
How can this rock stay on top of the pile?
Rocks, Rocks and more Rocks.
We have moved to Ignacio, CO. To Sky Ute RV Park. It's a great park at a casino. We had breakfast at the casino this morning. Didn't gamble anything. Saving my money.
Some fall colors. We are at 6500 feet.
Check out this grill. It's not a BGE but it's kind of cool.
It's getting a little cool at night. Down to 40 last night. We're starting to head south after this park for the warmer weather. We sure do not want to get snowed on for sure.
We had dinner at the Billy Goat Saloon, the pizza was real good. It's a dive bar and everyone was sitting outside on the back patio. After we eat our pizza we went out and joined in the party on the back deck. The parking lot was a little small and everyone on the deck was surprised that I could park the big truck there.
