Infested Again

We are in Sheridan, WY at Peter D's RV park. it's a nice little park . We were here way back in 2015. We like Sheridan. It's a nice, little western town. The only bad thing is we've been infested with millers (small moths). Every night at about 10:00 they start coming out. We have killed as many as 35 in the RV per day. I set up a bowl of soapy water under the microwave with the light on and catch 15 on average a night. We've had infestations before. Back in Michigan we had 10,000 lady bugs on the side of the RV and I think we got 5,000 of them inside the RV. It took us 6 months to get rid of them. Then in South Carolina we got infested with "Stink Bugs" (a.k.a. Ugly Bugs) and in California in a nice park we got infested with tiny ants. They were the worst! We'll never go back to that park.

We just hope we don't get infested with these guys. Wolf Spiders! This guy is staying in his home under the picnic table so far.

Our site at Peter D's.
We've had some wildlife right here in the park. Here's a mule deer with velvet on his antlers.

The weather hasn't been all that good. We have not had 2 days in a row without RAIN for the last month!

We love the downtown in Sheridan. It's still alive with a lot of good shops and a couple of good bars. Our favorite bar is the World Famous "Mint Bar" it was established in 1907. It has a lot of western history in it.

We met Matt and his dog Chewy in the Mint. Chewy is the local bar dog. He runs up and down the bar top meeting people and might get a treat or two, (mostly from Peggy).

They also have 3 pretty good Breweries in town, Smith Alley Brewery, Black Tooth Brewery and Luminous Brewhouse.
This is Smith Alley Brewery. They opened the main floor and installed the brewery in the basement. You can see the Mint across the street.

We met Paul and Deanie in the park and went to the Luminous to have a Beer. They are full time and are from Sheridan. They winter in Quartzsite, AZ.

Flash back to the old snow skiing days. Way back to the old Tioga motor home days.

  2. Good heavens! I never heard of such infestations! In 17 years, we have had one field mouse and a minor infestation of ants. Sorry for your bad luck!
