Zydeco Breakfast

We've moved to Breaux Bridge, LA to Poche's RV park. The park has 5 huge ponds that you can fish all you want, no license necessary. I have only seen one fish caught. But lots of kids fishing.

Our site is on one of the biggest ponds. We have a nice back-in site. It's a nice park and we would stay here again. The park is full of golf carts, all electric carts, so that's nice, NO gas carts allowed.

People lined up at Buck & Johnny's at 8 am Saturday morning.

We came here to go to Buck & Johnny's Zydeco Breakfast. It's world famous. Great music and good food with Bloody Marys.

We were here way back in 2017 and not much has changed. We love Louisiana.
Remember this is at 8:00 am and the dance floor is full. People love to party and dance here. We have the most fun in LA.

Katie loves the ducks.

Not far away you can go on an air boat ride in the Atchafalaya Swamp.

We stopped at the Turtle Bar to have a Beer and watch the boat launch, it's always fun to watch and you see the weirdest boats. The one on the end of the dock has 2 motors on it. That's just Weird.

Before we left Bandera we went to the local Rodeo. A nice little rodeo and only $10 to get in.

We met some new friends Tom and Kimber and their daughter was at Cowboy camp for the week. At the end of the week she barrel raced in the rodeo Friday night.

Rodeo night!

Steak night at the 11th Street Cowboy Bar. With Tom, Kimber and family. If you are ever in Bandera you have to go to Wednesday night steak cook out at 11th Street Cowboy Bar! It was hot that night but the Beer was cold and the steaks were great!

Then a bad thing happened, I got COVID 19! We were in Beaumont, Texas. I tested positive, then went to the local Urgent Care. Got a shot in the butt and Paxlovid for 5 days. We stayed in the RV for 5 days to self quarantine. Ordered Pizza in. In 5 days I was OK! Just had a little sore throat and a cough as my only symptoms. Now I have super immunity, I hope! This COVID thing is just not going away. Texas had 12,000 new cases that week. I think we got lucky,
Peggy did not get it. She tested three times, always negative.
