Still in Show Low. We are going to be here until the end of the month.
The weather is still wild, nice in the morning and rain in the afternoon.
Barney was here for a week and we had a ton of fun. We took him to all our favorite places and a couple of new ones.
Barney is always ready to try new things. Here we are at 4 Silo's brewery, on our way to MJ's Hideaway to meet some of our Moose friends.
Here we are at MJ's at the outside bar with our Moose friends. The food is pretty good here. Peggy and Barney had the fish dinner and I wanted to try the Pizza and it was as good as everyone has said.
We did some cultural things too. We went to the Show Low Museum. It was full of old stuff and a nice HO train setup.
It was so huge it took up the whole room. We got a guided tour from the veteran who helped build it. He pointed out a lot of little details that we could have missed.
We did a road trip to the 260 Brewery and Distillery. The beer was good and Barney got some Orange Cream Dream Moonshine.
We visited some old friends, Lieutenant Colonel John and Karen we met them the first time we were here. They built a beautiful house out in the woods. They cooked us a killer dinner. Good to see them.
View from John and Karen's huge deck and yes, that's rain in the background.
Their house has a huge open floor plan. All built with very high quality.
The winning continues, Barney won the $5 pot at the Moose
I won two little pots and Peggy got one too. We won 5 out of 12 pots. They might not let us in next week.
The Moose got googly eyed somehow.
We had to go to one of the few Trump stores in the country and it's right here in Show Low. They had tons of Trump stuff.
BGE Picture of the Blog.
Peggy found this man hole cover from the East Jordan Iron Works in Michigan. Back in the day we would go boating and camping in East Jordan City campground. They had boat docks in the park.
