Some Progress

We got some more pictures of the progress on phase III. Thanks to Mike and Heather. I had to call and kick some contractor butt. They didn't put the footings in the right place, even though we talked about it before we left for the summer.

We had our contractor get a variance to put it 5 foot from the septic tank, so now it's in an even better spot then we had planned. Not sure why they didn't tell me that we could do that before we left. So they emailed me the paperwork to get it 5 foot from the tank.

They had to expose the tank and have a county inspector came and approve it.

So, now it's better then we talked about, by 5 foot. So I'm a lot happier. Now we'll have to get on the people that are going to build the RV port. So that's my next call on Monday.

Here was the original plan. But this isn't what they did.

We had a Margaritaville party here in the park. Here we are with our neighbors, Alan and Trisha.

It had a good turn out with live music.

The weather here the past couple of days has been a little wet. The morning starts out nice and sunny, then a little later in the afternoon the rain starts. It's not a bad thing, we don't see rain in Arizona very often.
And we can get a little hail with the rain.

Boston report: Bonnie is doing better with her broken leg. Here she is napping with Baby.

Look how cute she is.

Katie getting her morning banana. She will eat almost anything.

We went out to the Pinetop Brewery this week. Not all the bars are open here in Pinetop or have outside seating.

Feeling Good Again

Not much to blog about. But I'm feeling good again. It took two weeks to get back to normal. It wasn't fun. This getting old stuff is not for sissies. We've just been sitting around here in the park. The only time I've left the park is to go to the drug store to get really expensive drugs to keep me going.

We got this photo from our neighbor back in Fortuna. These guys are starting on phase III at our lot. We ordered the work back in May before we left and they're just starting on it now. It's been driving us crazy that they didn't start earlier. Doesn't look like they are in a big hurry. (like most contractors). I count seven guys. They should get it done in one day.
We spotted the space station fly by the other night. I went to the space station web site and you can put your location in and it will text you what time the station is visible and for how long you can see it. Here is the site https://spotthestation.nasa.gov/tracking_map.cfm
It's pretty cool.
Peggy and Katie went for a walk this morning  and took some pictures of the area. This is the park office.
Some swamp.
A nice nature walk not far from the park.
A hummingbird on our feeder. Lots of hummers here in the White Mountains of Arizona.
Our neighbor, Petra and her dog Buddy.

Brother Terry's New XL Egg. Just hacked off the end of the table to make room for the BIG one.  Good job Terry.
