Stop #2

We have moved to Mesquite, NV. We're at Sun Resort RV Park. It's a nice, small park with huge pull thru sites that's right next to Smith's. We love Smith's. 

We're here to visit with Charlie, Craig, Booger, Jay Jay and Baby. They just moved here in a beautiful, 55+ community.

Baby, Booger and Katie hard at play. The first day, Katie played for about 5 hours non stop. When we got back to our rolling home she slept for about 13 hours.

 She did OK. She plays good with the girls. They have a really nice, dog friendly backyard to play in.

I just had to get on the floor and play with the pups. Bostons are so much fun.

  Craig and I played 36 holes on this really nice putting green course at the community center. 

 Our site. I put up a huge dog pen and Katie loves it. Thank you, Jim and Isabelle. They gave us the pen and it works great. Just open the back door and she goes out.

We had a fun time in Bullhead City when I dumped our black tank. The smell in the RV was so bad we had to go outside. We investigated the problem and found that a check valve under the sink had fallen off. We just reinstalled the check valve so we'll see if that fixes the problem.

2019 Journey Starts

We have started our 2019 BGE Journey. Our first stop is Vista Del Sol RV Park in Bullhead City, AZ. We like this high end RV park. The sites are huge with double wide cement pads.

  The only thing weird here is they will not let us park the big truck on our site. So we park two sites down the hill.

 The weather here is great but it does get a little windy sometimes.

After we got set up we had to go to one of the best Bars in Bullhead, The River Dog. They have the BEST Philly Steak and Cheese sandwiches. We looked forward to that for a long time. Bullhead City has a lot of good restaurants. We will be hitting all our favorites. After all we are on a Bar, Restaurant tour.

 Katie traveling in the back seat of the big truck. She did pretty good for her first big trip. We stopped to switch drivers after a 100 miles and give her a little break. She really like her crate.

BGE RV Resort

We made a big move this week! We bought an RV site in the North Foothills of Yuma. "BGE RV Resort". And it's all ours!

The lot is 65 by 100 feet. It doesn't have a Hot Tub yet.;-)

 It has a Mexican brick wall all the way around it. So Katie can run free all she wants. So far she loves that.

Tons of room. It was a big move, but I think we'll like it here. We still have a lot of good friends back in Carefree. I still plan on Golfing with them next year.

We got a new fire pit and Richard gave us a Plow Disk Reflector. It works great.

A bunch of us went to the Yuma Country fair to see the Demolition Derby. 

It was a beautiful night.

 We had a farewell Happy Hour for all our golf friends. They're all going to Moab, Utah.

Oh don't forget the big baby! What a cutie. 

She's doing good. She goes to the vet on Friday. She should be about 10 pounds already.

I think I had the BEST Burger in my life at A&R Grill. It was a Mushroom Burger with sauteed onions. I can't wait to go back to get another one. We love A&R Grill. Best place in Yuma.

Clearing out

The park is starting to clear out. I think the people that are going home are crazy as the weather is just starting to get nice here. Yesterday it hit 90 degrees. Now that is just right on the golf course. You just have to watch to keep yourself hydrated (take a Beer or two on the course with you).

Doug and I went to the Yuma Air Show at the marine base just  down the road from our park. Here is Doug with the newest jet fighter F35.

The F35 can hover like the older Hairier Jet can. This was right out in front of us.

This is the Osprey. It flies like a helicopter. We see a lot of them flying around here.

  They even had the whole Canadian Air force here, both of their planes.

Doug left for home on Monday.

We went to Ken and  Carolyn's house in Welton. Got a round of golf at Coyote Wash CC while we were there.

  Katie got a new jacket from Craig and Charlie. How nice. She loves it.

Before Doug left we made a trip to Mexico to have lunch. The only bad thing about that was we had to stand in line for over 2 hour to get back in the US. That was the longest wait we have ever had. We will not be going back until April to avoid that kind of line again.

We had a great St. Patrick's Day.

We went to Crazy Earl's, They had a Bag Piper band come in. It was great, lots fun, people and Green Beer.

Great Weather

The weather has finally changed for the good. Winter is over!

We had the Canada vs USA golf tournament and the USA team won again 6-3-1. Good picture of the US team. My team shot 1 under 35 to win our match. We had one eagle and one bogie.

 We had our golf league Pizza party and prize give away. Dennis cooked up a monster pile of Catfish that was killer good. We had 50+ people for the party. I got 13 Pizzas and had just enough to feed all.

On Saturday Peggy and I went to the Red Wings game in Phoenix.

  We had great seats right on the blue line 12 rows up. I think there were more Red Wing fans than Coyote fans. 

Before the game we had lunch with Bob and Rose. Bob was one of my old customers from Ford. It was good to see him and Rose. The game was not so great as the Red Wings lost 3-1.

Got a picture from Bill. He went home WAY too soon. He had a good trip all the way out here and back. I think they are going to stay longer next year in our park.

I got a hot spot upgrade. It should work better than the old hot spot. It works on the Verizon 4G LTE. It has 4 ports to plug devices into it and 2.4GHz wifi.

I took the sim card out of it, installed it in the new one and had it all working in 10 minutes. 

Katie is growing fast. She went to the Vet for more shots. She gained 2.5 pounds in 3 weeks. She keeps us pretty busy. She sleeps all night long now. So I don't have to get up in the middle of the night to take her out.
