The Sun is Back

This morning the SUN is back. It has been so long I forgot where my sun glasses are.

 



This is one of the coolest photos I have ever seen. It has a huge message in it. Our military protecting our freedom. Do not forget to thank our veterans. They are the ones to thank for us being able to Live Happy and Go Big.

Casino Party

We went to the Casino Party at the rec hall. Free food and Beer and we played casino games for chips to buy raffle ticket. But I did not win anything. I had a lot of chips too.

Today was shopping day. I got new windshield wipers for the truck and some light bulbs for the outside yard light on the RV.

The weather still sucks cloudy and rainy. We are getting tried of the crappy weather.

More Rain

Yesterday it did stop raining and the park came alive, people come out when it gets just a little nice out. It got to 70 degrees but cloudy. We went to happy hour down at Linda and Dale's. Then I made Chi Chi's nachos for dinner. Later we made the trip to the hot tub.

It is raining again. I was going to play golf today but I think the course will be closed today, maybe we can play tomorrow.

We did get to sit outside to watch the Nascar race on TV. But it was gloomy out. We just hung around here and laid low. I went to the hot tub later. Not much to write about today.

 But we still got truck pictures!

Time Change

Today we change our clocks to Central Daylight Savings Time.

Yesterday we made a hardware and outlet mall run. At the hardware I got all my bolts to install the air ride hitch in the truck. At the outlet mall Peggy got some new shoes and other stuff. 

A funny thing with the truck, You are driving down the road and all of a sudden the windshield wipers go on. Ron, here in the park told me about that Phenomenon. He told me how to fix it. There is too much lube in the connector for the wiper switch. So I took it apart and cleaned it out. We will see if that does the trick.

Better Day

The weather was a little better today.

Here is a cool picture, Peggy driving the BIG truck.



She did a great job! I was not nervous at all. We did play around with the truck. Here I am watching a movie in the back seat.

I got my headphones on and watching The Hobbit movie.

I packed some things from the RV in the storage compartments in the truck. It gives us more room in the RV.

That big box in the back of the truck is huge, lots of room for the pop up tent and our golf clubs and thing like that. Today I need to go to the hardware and get the bolts for the hitch. The hitch is shipping from Kentucky, it is going to take longer to get here because of the SNOW storm they had the other day. The hitch guy told me they got 19 inches of SNOW.

Cold and Rainy

Yesterday it was cold and rainy. So we did not get to play with the new truck much. I did order the Air ride hitch, It should be here by Thursday. More truck pictures.



Oh the other night when the wind came up the power in the park was going on and off. I am so glad I put that power monitor system in the 5th wheel. I saw the power flash a couple of times and that is not good for all of our electronic stuff. We have 5 TVs, I would hate to have to replace them like we did on the last 5th wheel when we were in South Dakota a couple of years ago.

Big Weather Change

Last night about 1:30 am the wind started to blow and the temperature started to drop. We had to close all the windows. Yesterday it was 88 degrees today it's 39, that is a big change.

 

Peggy and I played with the new truck all day. I tried the TV and DVD player in the back seat, the headphones are IR if you lean to the front of the screen the headphones shut off and it does work good.

We put all of our junk in the truck. Today I am going to order the air ride hitch. It should take 3 or 4 days to get here, then I am going to install it myself. It should be easy it just bolts in and then run an air line to it.

This is the hitch we are going to get.

Oh today it is Danny's Birthday. He is 42 years old! OMG.

I am Back

I made a big trip to Kansas City and came back with a new truck.

It was a long trip with SNOW and ICE on the road. I never want to see ice and snow ever again! From here to the dealership it was 1000 miles. Peggy stayed here and I went alone. I would drive for 500 miles at a time. So it took 4 days for the round trip. 

 I need to add some things to the truck like a air ride hitch in the bed.

Here is the command center. It has a killer stereo in it and in the back seat there is a TV with a DVD player with 3 sets of  headphone to watch the TV. It has a CB radio. The motor is a caterpillar C7, 6 cylinder, 300 HP, 6 speed Allison transmission. That is the Transmission that when I worked at Wilson Machine we built the assembly line for. It has air ride seats. I filled the truck up just north of Dallas, when I got here it still had more then a 1/2 tank left. There are two 50 gallon tanks on it. So I think it gets about 12 miles a gallon. Texas is truly a big state, it took more then a day to get out of it. I traveled thru Oklahoma then in to Missouri and up to Kansas City.

Blog Break

I am not going to be blogging for the next 4 or 5 days. I am going on a road trip and will not have time to blog. Big supersize when I get back.
