On the move

 We've moved a couple of times. We stopped in Arco, Idaho at Mountain View RV Park for 5 days.  It was a really nice park in a dead town. It had a BBQ restaurant in the park and had THE best ribs I've had in years! Peggy had a huge baked potato with pulled pork and cheese on it.

The BBQ restaurant and check-in office. The only bad thing was, we were going to eat there again on Sunday, but it was closed, bummer.

We've moved to Caldwell to one of our favorite parks, The Ambassador G7 resort. It has huge lots, a pool and a great dog park not far away. I think this is the third time we've been here. The last time was in 2019 and across the street was a huge farm. Now it's all built up with a huge supply store, a Maverick gas station and a new credit union. The road was a 2 lane road, but now they're making it a 4 lane. All the construction makes it kind of hard to drive around. But it's nice to be in a bigger city. We've been to too many small towns with nothing in them.

We've installed a new on-demand water heater. The old one was leaking and stopped working on electric, so it was time to go.

I just used it for the first time and it worked great.

We stayed in Virginia City in Montana for a week. The park was nice and clean, but the black flies were pretty bad. Reminds me of the UP. In Ennis, a short drive away, we stopped at the Silver Dollar bar and met Neil Rackers a retired NFL kicker from Arizona Cardinals. Pretty nice guy.

He didn't look like a kicker, but he was in great shape. He was there to Fly fish in the Madison River. 

We also met a nice couple traveling on their motorcycle. Skip and Sheli. It's so fun meeting new people all over the country.

 We really like Ennis. It's a nice little town with a lot of good places to go. I think next year we may stay here for a month.

When I was taking Katie for a walk we saw a moose and it's calf. The good thing was, it ran into the woods and not at us.  

Virginia City is an old mining town that never burned down, so lots of history here.

They have these old store fronts that you can look into and see how people lived way back then. Very interesting.

I forgot what park this is in, but it looks like we're having fun.

Crazy Park

 We stayed a week at Cedar Bay RV Park just north of Soda Springs, ID. This is a Crazy Park, Crazy Fun! We had a nice site. Happy hour at 5 pm was a lot of fun, Tons of different shots. We turned them on to Little Beers. They ordered 48 mini beer glasses for everyone. They couldn't find 43 Licor in town, but someone was coming up later in the week and is bringing up some 43 to save the day. Oh, and they liked 1921 too.

Our site at Cedar Bay. You could see the Blackfoot reservoir. Katie loved this park as she had lots of good dogs to play with. She could free style (not tied up). 

You can see we were parked right next to the cafe and office. Only a 30 amp service but it worked great.

In Soda Spring they have a man made Geyser in town. It goes off every hour on the hour or so. It all depends if the guy pushes the button on time.

It's right behind Porters bar where we were having lunch one day. I had one of the best french dips ever. So good we went back a couple of days later to get another one.

Ten Sleep

 We're in a nice park in Ten Sleep, Wyoming. The weather has been really nice. We only had one little rain storm the other night. The town is pretty small but it has some good bars and restaurants. Today we are going to go see if we can find some climbers in Ten Sleep canyon. I guess there are world class climbs in the canyon.

You can rent a sheep herder wagon to stay in for $10 a night.

At this park they have horse corrals. Katie loves the horses, lots of new smells. She did roll in some cow manure one day so she got a bath. 

We had a cattle drive right behind the RV park. It was pretty cool.

We had dinner at Ten Sleep Saloon the first day we got here. The food was good and the bar was cool.

Ten Sleep Brewery is only a mile away. We like the beer. My favorite is the  Bloody Speedgoat lager.

When we were at the brewery we ran into Shawn and Theresa who we met last year at a brewery in Sheridan. It's pretty cool running into people in different places.

We went to the Ten Sleep fish hatchery. It was a self guided tour. It was just 8 miles away. They hatch trout for the streams and lakes in Wyoming.

On this trip so far, we have had some break downs. Our dish on the roof quit bringing in the signal and our hot water heater quit working on electric so now we just run it on propane. I will have to fix it when we get back to Yuma. The dish going out is OK as we're streaming TV from our Starlink. The Dish network was getting too expensive anyway. Streaming is cheaper and works pretty well.

Cold!

 We are in Evanston, WY at Phillips RV Park. It's a nice, small park that has been in the Phillips family since 1936. It has changed a lot over the years. Unfortunately the site we have, has a big tree that blocks my satellite. So Starlink to the rescue. We stream Dish network on the Starlink. The town of Evanston has a railroad history and tank cars are manufactured here. 

We had to figure out how to use the furnace in the RV. We've never been anywhere this cold. It got down to 26 our first night. I had to take the furnace apart and adjust the fan switch to get it to work. Good thing I know how it works.

When we were in Clarkdale, AZ we went to Montezuma Castle National Monument. The park protects a set of well preserved dwellings located in Camp Verde, AZ, which were built and used by the Sinagua people in approximately 1100 AD.

It was a very interesting tour. We used Peggy's geezer pass to get us in free!

This is Bridle Veil falls on the side of the road on our way here. We see some of the most beautiful places on our trips.

If you look really close I think there's a mountain goat on the side of this mountain.

Just a couple miles from our park is Bear River State Park where they have some rare white Bison.

And some regular ones.

Second Stop

 We've started our summer trip. We left Fortuna Foothills on May 1st. Our first stop was Prescott, AZ. We love the town. Whiskey Row downtown was pretty cool with some history. The original Palace Grill burned down in 1900, but before it got too bad the patrons carried the bar out across the street and sat drinking watching it burn down.

Our first stop on Whiskey Row was Matt's. It's a nice old bar. 

The drive to Prescott was really beautiful. Up in some mountains and a bypass thru Skull Valley. It's a really small town with a cool name. 

We stayed at the Fairgrounds RV Park in Prescott Valley. It had big, pull thru sites. And wouldn't you know, there would be ONE tree in the park that was blocking my dish! Good thing we have Starlink, I could stream Dish network and we could get all our stations.

Our second stop is Clarkdale, AZ. It's close to Sedona and Cottonwood. We did a day trip to Sedona where we stopped at Sedona Brewery and had a beer and pretzel. 

The view of the mountains was very pretty. The beer was pretty expensive, $8.50. I guess you have to pay for the view.

 We're at Rain Spirit RV Park, it's only a couple of years old and is very nice. We'll be coming back here. The Moose is just down the street.

They have beautiful cacti all over the park. 

We have a nice, big lot at the end of the row with a great view.
