Stop #2

 We've moved on to our next stop. We're in Williams, AZ at one of our favorite parks, Grand Canyon Railroad RV Park. This is a nice park with decent size sites. This is the first time we've had a back in site. We're as close to the railroad tracks as you can get. The weather is a lot cooler here with 30's at night and 60's in the day. The higher altitude of 6700 feet makes it cooler.

We had a small problem with the Big Truck. We lost a seal in the drive axle. When you have big toys, you'll have big problems. But I got it fixed at the Love's Truck Stop right here in Williams. So I think we were pretty lucky. And it only cost $160.00!

Our friends Craig and Charlie were not as lucky as we were. This is their drive shaft from their motorhome. Total bill was somewhere over $4000.00. I feel for them 😢.

First Stop

 Our 2021 trip has started. Our first stop is at Vista Del Sol RV Park in Bullhead City, AZ. We've been to this park 3 or 4 times. It's a really nice park with huge back in sites and great views.

Not too many people around. Maybe they have all left before we got here.

We hooked up with Alan and Trish. We met them last year in Pinetop/Lakeside at Ponderosa RV park. So we all went to our favorite bar, The River Dog Bar and Grill. They have the best Philly Steak and Cheese sandwiches.

Katie met a new friend here in the park, Cody the Laberdoodle. They played off leash a little bit and had a ton of fun.

Watch for Scams

 I got a phone call from Dish Network. They said they had to update my receivers. But it did not sound right that they were going to charge me $174.99 to do it. So I looked it up on the internet and found that it was a scam. Dish Network will never call you!

I got the drone out and got a good picture of our lot.

When I got back from my trip back to Michigan we took the Tracker to A&R Grill. On the way the car was shaking really bad. So the next day I went to my favorite car repair shop, Big O Tires. They found my problem in minutes. One tire was coming apart. So I doubled the value of the Tracker by putting on new tires and windshield wipers.  Now it drives like a new can!  

We have a new member in the Family, Barley. This is Terry's new puppy.

We are starting to pack up for our summer trip. The weather is starting to get a little hot here. Later this week it's going to got up to 103. That is too hot!

I am taking the Big Truck to get it washed today. It's pretty dirty just sitting on the lot. We are looking forward to a good summer trip. We are going to the Oregon coast. 

I went to the knee doctor yesterday. He took this picture. I need my left knee replaced. So when we get back I am going to get that done and maybe replace the right knee later. It's a bitch getting old!

Trip Home

 I had to make a trip home,

my mother passed away on 4-3-21. She was 87 and in bad health. So she's in a better place now. It was good to see all the family, I wish it was in better circumstances. 

We put her in the wall with Dad and Kevin. I looked inside and Dad's casket had broken on the top a little bit. They didn't want us to see that, but I was ok with it. After all, Dad has been in there for 41 years. 

This is the only picture that I have of my Dad. In this picture he's working at the school bingo.

We all met up at Logger's Brewery to toast one to mom.

It was good to see Marty and Kathy. I haven't seen them in a long time.

After the funeral we went to Terry's house to toast mom with her favorite drink, Gin and Tonic.

The weather was good enough to sit outside on the deck.

Terry and Kathy have a beautiful house in the woods. They've done a lot of work to make it a nice place.

It was fun to hang out with Heidi, Matt and Danny for a couple of days. We're all going to meet up at next year's Eggtoberfest.

It was a long flight home to Yuma. Flights cancelled and a couple of changes. I got back at 10:30 at night. I still hate flying!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

 Happy St. Patrick's Day! We had a St Patrick's Day kegger here at the BGE RV Resort.

Almost everyone has had their shot, so we all felt safe and needed to blow off some steam. So let's get a Keg of Beer and have some fun. It's good to have a lot of good friends to party with.

I love St. Patrick's Day. My second most favorite holiday.

We had a corn hole tournament going all day. The party started at 11:00 am. You can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning!

Sandi bought this super keg cooler. It has kept the keg cold for 3 days so far. I bought a 1/2 barrel. That's too much. Next keger: 1/4 barrel. Back in the day we could drink a 1/2 barrel. But we all had a good time. I smoked 2 big pork butts on the BGE for the party. We had a ton of food to eat.

Second Shot

 We got our second Covid shot last Monday. Yuma county did a great job. There are over 40,700 people vaccinated in Yuma. Most people over 65. Bill is under 65 but today he's going to Phoenix to get the Johnson & Johnson shot at a CVS pharmacy.

So, here we are out to dinner for Bill's birthday. Of course at the A&R Grill.

We had a Dog happy hour on Sunday. We had 4 dogs having a good time running around. Well . . . 3 out of 4, Koby was the only one that wouldn't play.

They all have fun running around free on the lot.

Opening up

 Things are starting to open up for us after we got our shot. Almost everyone I know over 65 have had their first shot. The state of Arizona is doing a great job getting the vaccine to the people that need it. 
I even know some Canadians that have gotten the shot. That's a great thing.

We got our dinette recovered and it looks great. They did a good job.

Reinstalling it was a piece of cake.

Bill and Sharon got a new puppy, Gracie. She is so cute.

Poor little Gracie broke her nail off playing somewhere. But it doesn't slow her down much.

Peggy and I made a "Hook and Ring" game. We came up with a really cool design that folds up close to the wall.

It's a cool Happy Hour game that old people can play and not get hurt doing it.

It was kinda fun putting together. I think we could have bought it online cheaper, but that wouldn't have been as fun building it ourselves. The farther out the hook is, the harder the game is. I may have to adjust that.

The weather is starting to warm up a bit. We have been sleeping with the window open a bit. I think winter is done here.
