We stopped in Rawlins, Wyoming. It's a small town, but it has an old prison. So we took the prison tour. It was pretty interesting. I would not want to be there! The park we stayed at was just a big gravel parking lot with power poles. The weather was not too good, it rained almost every day. So the park turned into a mud hole.
The prison was open from 1901 to 1981. It was not a nice place to be in. Over 13,500 inmates were housed here, including 11 women, during the 80 years it was open. More information can be found on their website wyomingfrontierprison.org
This was cell block A. At the time it was open, it had no electricity and inadequate heating.
The tour was an hour long.
One of the cells.
The gas chamber! You could go sit in it. But that was too creepy to me.
Now we have moved to Sheridan, WY. We're at Peter D's RV park. We stayed here back in 2015. It's a nice grassy park and the owner is on site and checking to make sure we have a good stay.
Our site at Peter D's.
The town has gotten a little bigger. It now has 3 breweries and we've stopped at all 3.
Our bartender, Abby at Luminous Brew House. The tap exploded on her! It's the newest brewery in town. The beer is good. I like the Half Speed Cream Ale they make.
The Menu. It's a dog friendly brewery, like most of them.
Like this bar. This was at the world famous Mint Bar in downtown Sheridan. The Mint first opened in 1907. It's a nice friendly place.
Katie got to play with a couple of other Bostons in the dog park here.

We have a little wildlife on our site here. A Wolf Spider! Creepy!

Mike Mills: Did you feel at home there, Dan? (Surely not Peg!)
